Board Game Night Ruined by Guy Asking if People Want to Play Board Games

Tragedy struck at a local board game night when an attendee murdered the vibe. The culprit, Larry Fisher, was witnessed asking multiple other guests when they were going to start playing board games, interrupting an otherwise idyllic game night of drinking and discussing Love Island. Numerous attendees confirmed Fisher's abhorrent behavior throughout the night.
Game Night Tragedy
The monthly game night, hosted by Sandy Amos and Naomi Ngo, began like any game night, with the friend group sharing wine coolers and beers around a table together. That peace was interrupted only one hour into the night when Fisher, who Amos and Ngo had befriended at their local game shop, asked what game everyone wanted to start with.
"I thought that when I told Larry we'd start soon, he'd understand that meant literally never," Amos reported. "But he just kept asking. I don't think even two hours had gone by when he made another comment about really wanting to play a game. What kind of monster suggests something like that during the middle of a game night? I thought Larry was a friend, but clearly he's some kind of sociopath."
Hours into the party Fisher's behavior only grew more unhinged. "He pulled some game about fast food out of his backpack," Guest Alan Gaspard told us. "He just started showing it to us and talking about how fun it is. I think he said it was European, which is crazy. This is America. I don't even speak European."
"It totally ruined board game night seeing him pull out all these board games and talk about them," Ngo told us through teary eyes. "We were all having a great time talking about an old movie none of us had ever seen and then he just ruined everything. He showed us game after game. The sickest part is he was smiling the whole time like he wasn't doing something awful to us."
The Victims Seek Justice
Multiple guests have spoken out against Fisher's behavior at game night. David Brady passionately called for Fisher to face consequences for his actions. "I think he needs to be banned from the friend group completely after what he pulled. There's no talking to sickos like that. I didn't even get to make my joke about how we forgot to play any games at the end of the night because he kept reminding us. That joke is the only reason I even go. It always kills and I desperately need validation in my life."
Others were more forgiving, including Brady's wife Monica. "I just don't think Larry understands what board game nights are about." She reported. "The name is kind of misleading, so I guess I can see why he thought we'd be playing board games. Really it's all about getting so drunk you throw up in your friend's bathtub. Someone should just tell him. Not me, of course, I don't like telling people things they don't want to hear. But someone should."
No Signs of Remorse From Fisher
"I don't mind sitting around talking, but I kind of assumed we'd play at least one game," Fisher told us from his den, which has multiple shelves filled with board games. "It was probably just an off night. They all said they were really excited to play Settlers of Catan next month when I suggested it. I'm looking forward to it! Tabletop games are really fun. I hope to play one some day."
At time of reporting no decision had been reached about Fisher's status in the group, though a group text excluding him had been made to discuss what should be done. The group is expected to exile him by simply not telling him about future game night plans. As for Fisher he was last seen staring longingly at his unopened copy of Ticket to Ride.
