Rumor: “Avengers: Doomsday” Climactic Scene To Feature The Hulk Stepping on Caltrops

Iver Heath, England — Photographs taken by bystanders outside of Pinewood Studios near London purport to show the Hulk defeating Doctor Doom after stepping into a field of iron spikes. This is believed to have been added recently after one of Avengers: Doomsday’s many, many late rewrites.

A source near the production who has chosen to go by K. F. had this to say: “We were inspired by fans reacting to the Marvel Super Heroes spoilers by pointing out that The Hulk would just keep fighting over and over again if Caltrops was in play. I mean, it just makes sense, right? All the heroes have to do is get him more and more angry. We’ve been having Mark Ruffalo get into character by stepping on Lego bricks all morning.” Mr. Ruffalo refused comment, but was later observed to walk with a slight limp.

Bruce Banner // The Incredible Hulk (Marvel Super Heroes #49)Caltrops (Urza's Destiny #129)

When questioned about the practicality of using a field of medieval weapon, especially in a movie series known for using digital effects, K. F. simply responded, “Nah, it’s fine. We have a dedicated team of stunt historians and blacksmiths working around the clock to ensure the safety of our very expensive actors.” He then pulled out his phone, and exclaimed loudly, “Wait, Whispersilk Cloak? Sakashima of a Thousand Faces?! These are gold! Someone grab our script monkeys, they’re pulling another all-nighter!”

A leaked Disney memo also revealed some potential information on the next upcoming Spider-man movie. Top executives directed employees to see if they could license the rights to Fleem to have him appear as a minor villain or mascot, whether or not anyone knew if Electro was capable of firebending, and if Superior Spider-man was really the only SPM card that appeared at Magic World Championship.

Reactions online to the leak by Marvel fans aren’t positive. “It just doesn’t fit the tone and style that we’re used to,” claims one online commenter. “Sure, the magical fantasy thing worked for Thor and Dr. Strange, but I really want to get back to the modern-day action that the series is known for.” “These crossovers are really getting on my nerves,” said another. “I don’t want to look up why Captain America is fighting with Swiftfoot Boots, Colossus Hammer, Umezawa’s Jitte, and whoever this ‘Sram’ character is.” A third was quoted as saying, “We have to watch a new movie every few months and it’s become a real wear on our wallets and our attention spans, especially with how mediocre they’ve been getting. Magic: The Gathering fans don’t have to deal with the same kind of product fatigue that we do.”

Assuming no more rewrites, reshoots, or CG artist strikes, MSH is expected to arrive June 2026.
