Invasive Turtle Species Suddenly Threatening Local Lorwyn Wildlife

HEARTHHULL — Seedship Scientists studying local Lorewyn flora have made a shocking announcement in a paper published in Magical Nature. A new invasive species of turtle was discovered wreaking havoc on the local wildlife. Lys Alana representatives have refused to comment on the matter, but according to an anonymous source from inside the capitol city the turtles beat up several emissaries with crude sticks and knives, and concealed their identities with masks.

Kithkin farmers have also reported sightings of the strange creatures. According to one farmer, “They showed up speaking in the strangest manner and demanded I give them all my milk and cheese so they could make some sort of pie I’d never heard of.” The destruction across the farmland was evident. Cheese caves ransacked, tomato crops pillaged, wheat fields stolen, all to some mystery purpose not yet revealed.

Scientists for the seedship made the call to differentiate them as a separate species from the plane’s natural changelings when a seedship scientist was able to record a video of them shouting that they were from a plane called “New York” which begs many a question. What is this plane like? Are the inhabitants friendly? And do they fit the general vibe of the rest of the multiverse, or are they out of place and off-putting? What happened to the previous York?

Similar incidents of masked assault, food-based anti-social behavior, and comments that seem to embrace a “radical” lifestyle have popped up across both Lorewyn and Shadowmoor and the mixture is leading to a mixed reaction among talking heads on both sides. Many are excited for what these new turtles could represent and push the environment to become, while others still are wary. There is a growing anxiety that they could outcompete the local flora and fauna, and the things that made the environment many grew up with and identify as part of could become a distant memory.

Only time can tell what will unfold with these strange new amphibians, but them and creatures like them don’t seem to be going away anytime soon.
