Trouble Comes in Pairs – Wizards in Hot Water for Plagiarism AGAIN

Harold Commander • February 19, 2026

Folks,

A great injustice has once again been perpetrated on us by the BONEHEADS of at “Wizards” of the so-called Coast and dedicated followers may recognize that this is a HUGE MISTAKE that they’re making for the SECOND TIME! I don’t know about you all, but I say fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice AND I’M SPITTING MAD ABOUT IT. For those of you who haven’t kept an eye on all of the FOIBLES of these ding-dongs over there at what I am calling GOTC because they GOT caught BIG-TIME, I’m here to catch you up, cats and kittens.

A few years ago, sharp-eyed art-noticers discovered that the art from a card called “Trouble in Pairs” was PLAGIARZED directly from artist DONATELLO GIACCOMO.

At first, folks weren’t convinced. The original piece featured a cyberpunk with orange hair looking to the right –

while the card submitted featured an identical character with orange hair looking to the left.

However, a few dedicated COMPUTER HACKERS doctored the photo to reveal a shocking detail.

Needless to say, fans of both Magic and Mr. GIANCARLO were not happy.

We thought the controversy was over, but little did we know that the DULLARDS over at the place I am calling YOTC because their number is almost up, hadn’t learned their lesson.

Spoiled earlier this week (and I do mean spoiled because something about it STINKS) was a new copy of Trouble in Pairs. After my initial excitement wore off, I couldn’t help but notice something odd about the new art.

Look familiar? To some it might, this piece of art was LIFTED DIRECTLY from a work by PETER EASTMAN and KEVIN LAIRD.

This time the LAME BRAINS over at a company I have taken to calling NOTC because I DO NOT SEE them learning from their past mistakes didn’t even notice that the artist who submitted this card didn’t even bother TO REVERSE THE IMAGE.

It’s past time we tell the BUFFOONS on the “coast” (Yeah, I guess a city 2,800 miles from New York City is “COASTAL”) that we’re not RUBES. We demand they stop printing the card “Trouble in Pairs” in future sets because the card is mechanically kind of boring and all of my $30 copies won’t be worth DIDDLYSQUAT if they keep printing it.

Yours ANGRILY,

Harold J Commander
