Marvel's Spider-Man Product Information Revealed

Josh Nelson • March 4, 2025

On Saturday, March 1st, Wizards of the Coast revealed the product information for their Universes Beyond release for Marvel's Spider-Man. The information included shots of sealed product, the singles in one product (which we covered in this article by Nick Wolf), and even MSRP price points for retailers. What should consumers expect from Spidey? Let's take a look!

Marvel's Spider-Man Products

First, let's get the big logistics covered. The MSRPs for Marvel's Spider-Man will fall roughly in line with those of Magic x Final Fantasy. Going forward, Standard-legal Universes Beyonds sets will all allegedly follow this trend. According to the product info article by Wizards of the Coast:

MSRPs for Magic: The Gathering | Marvel's Spider-Man will be set as follows:

  • Play Booster: $6.99
  • Collector Booster: $37.99
  • Bundle: $69.99
  • Scene Box: $41.99

Now, let's look at some of these products.

Play Booster Box

Play Booster displays from this set contain 30 Play Booster packs. The contents of a pack are as follows, according to Wizards of the Coast:

  • 14 Magic: The Gathering cards:
    • 6-7 Commons
    • 3 Uncommons
    • 1 Wildcard of any rarity
    • 1 Rare or mythic rare
    • 1 Traditional foil card of any rarity
    • 1 Basic land
    • 0-1 MAR card
  • 1 Non-foil double-sided token

A "MAR" card is an Eternal-legal card themed after a Marvel property. They have a unique set symbol, but beyond that, that's really all we know. Note this for later in this article, as they feature in other pack products.

Collector Booster Box

Collector Booster boxes from Spider-Man contain twelve Collector Boosters, each with the following contents:

  • 15 Magic: The Gathering cards:
    • 5 Traditional foil commons
    • 4 Traditional foil uncommons
    • 1 Traditional foil basic land
    • 1 Traditional foil rare or mythic rare
    • 2 Non-foil Booster Fun rare or mythic rare cards
    • 1 MAR card
    • 1 Traditional foil Booster Fun rare or mythic rare
  • 1 Art card or traditional foil double-sided token

Notably, Collector Boosters are one of the only places you can find art cards from this set. However, if you exclude the Scene Box, it is the only place you'll find them. Beyond that, the spread is consistent with other Collector Booster products.

Bundles from Marvel's Spider-Man contain the following items, according to Wizards:

  • Magic: The Gathering | Marvel's Spider-Man Play Boosters
  • 30 Basic lands
  • 1 Alternate-art promo card
  • 2 Reference cards
  • 1 Spindown die
  • 1 Magic: The Gathering | Marvel's Spider-Man card-storage box

Again, this product is consistent with previous Bundle products. We haven't seen that spindown die yet, though, nor the promotional card in the Bundle. We are eager to find out more!

Scene Box

We covered the "Spidey's Spectacular Showdown" Scene Box in a previous article. The product contains three Play Boosters, a cardboard easel, six art cards (each with the art from the cards depicting said scene), and the six cards.

Marvel's Spider-Man Welcome Decks

This set will also feature five Welcome Deck products! Falling largely in line with older Welcome Decks, these introductory products will be themed after Spider-Man himself, as well as certain other characters from the property.

According to their article on DailyMTG, Wizards of the Coast states that these will be available for new player events at WPN-qualified local game stores, while supplies last. They contain the following contents:

  • 2 30-Card half-decks:
    • Of the 2 half-decks, 1 will match the Welcome Deck box. The other is randomly inserted from among the other options.
    • There are 5 different monocolor half-decks.
  • 2 Reference cards
  • 1 Deck box

Marvel's Spider-Man Prerelease Kits

Finally, because this is a full set release, this set will also have Prerelease events, and Prerelease events mean Prerelease Kits.
