On Friday, February 21st, attendees at MagicCon Chicago got the first look at many new things. Wizards of the Coast's preview panel shared details about Tarkir: Dragonstorm, the next upcoming Magic: The Gathering set. They also showcased an early look at Edge of Eternities, an expansion pitched as a "space opera" set. What are the previews? You're in luck since we will now show you!
MagicCon Chicago Previews: Tarkir: Dragonstorm
To kick things off, Wizards of the Coast showed us plenty of information regarding the next set, Tarkir: Dragonstorm. As it stands, the exit of Ugin, the Spirit Dragon
both utterly ravaged the planar setting of Tarkir, leaving the plane with little direction. Five years prior, Tarkir stood changed from the actions of Sarkhan Vol, then a Planeswalker but now a mortal human.

Those five years, in which Tarkir's timeline was irrevocably altered to include dragons (previously hunted down to extinction), saw a world where humanoids fight tooth and nail for survival, much less a chance at dominance over the draconic. However, another ex-Planeswalker, Narset, found a way to defeat the five Dragonlords in their complacency, at the cost of strengthening the many storms that spawned their brood.

Tarkir: Dragonstorm tells a story of the aftermath of the ritual that Narset conducted and the world that ensued. If you're a fan of the original Tarkir storyline (as well as Sarkhan's edit, so to speak), you'll likely enjoy this set.

Edge of Eternities Product Line-Up
The last thing Wizards let us know is the product line-up for Edge of Eternities. Play and Collector Booster displays are still the name of the game, as are Prerelease kits and Bundles. This set will be accompanied by two Commander decks, much like Aetherdrift. The two decks are called "World Shaper" (black-red-green) and "Counter Intelligence" (white-blue-red).
