Final Fantasy Prerelease Kits Recalled In Brazil After Error

A distributor in Brazil is urgently calling for a recall of Final Fantasy prerelease kits that they sent out in error. Wizards of the Coast erroneously sent the kits to this distributor, and, upon realization, requested their immediate return. Moreover, the distributor will provide the cost of shipping the recalled prerelease kits back to them.
The distributor's statement is as follows, with the distributor's name removed to preserve anonymity (via Polygon):
Attention Retailers:
We have identified that Wizards of the Coast has been sending Final Fantasy kits in error.
Due to Commercial Policy, we require that whoever received the item return it to [distributor]. We will bear the costs of this return.
If you received a Final Fantasy pre-release kit, please contact your consultant so we can make arrangements.
It is extremely important that this material is returned undamaged. If this has occurred, please notify [distributor] urgently, to avoid any penalties from Wizards of The Coast.
Magic: The Gathering x Final Fantasy is the first Standard-legal tentpole set for the game's Universes Beyond initiative. It is due to release on June 13th, 2025, with prerelease events beginning on June 6th. With Tarkir: Dragonstorm prerelease events beginning on Friday, April 4th, it is entirely plausible that these were sent under the pretense that they were Tarkir prerelease kits. The distributor's statement stresses communication between stores, distributors, and Wizards of the Coast themselves.
In May of 2023, a similar distribution error occurred. In advance of March of the Machine: Aftermath preview season, a YouTuber got ahold of packs from that set. That YouTuber opened the packs on a live stream, leaking almost all cards from the mini-set. However, at Wizards of the Coast's behest, the security company Pinkerton recovered the cards. Therefore, it's apt to state that Wizards takes this sort of breach very seriously.
And now, let's open the floor to you, dear readers. How do you feel about this distribution error? What would you do if you obtained unreleased cards due to Wizards of the Coast's error? Sound off below!
